TRAIN STRIKES CAR.

OCCUPANTS UNINJURED. (Per United Press Association.) Waimate, April 17. A level crossing accident was narrowly averted when the 9.25 a.m. goods train ran into a car driven by Mrs P. J. Foley at the Morven crossing. Mrs Foley saw the train at. the last moment and half turned her car from the line "when the engine struck the rear of the car, completing the turn. The car was somewhat battered at the rear but the occupants, Mrs Foley and an infant, were unhurt.
