ANALYSIS OF EXPENDITURE. (Rec. 7.45 p.m.) Sydney, October 12. The Assistant State Treasurer, Mr Stevens, allocates the expenditure on Public Services from each pound contributed by the taxpayer as follows:—Legislative and general administration, 5/3; local government, sd; law, order and safety, 2/9; encouragement of science and art research, Id; education, 5/3; regulation of trade and industry, Id; health and recreation, 1/11; social amelioration, 2/-; war obligations, Id; development and maintenance of resources, 2/2.—Australian Press Association.
