GIFT BY BUSINESS MAN. DONATION OF £220,000. Sydney, October 12. A gift of city properties and securities valued at £220,000 to the Sydney University has been made by Mr. George H. Bosch, of Bosch Barthel and Company, impoters. Mr. Bosch had previously made generous gifts to the University. The Chancellor, Sir William Cullen, announcing the gift, described Mr. Bosch as the University’s greatest and most magnanimous benefactor. It would enable the establishment of full-time chairs in medicine, surgery, and bacteriology.—Australian Press Association.
