DIPHTHERIA
RESEARCH WORK IN FRANCE. SEEKING A PERFECT VACCINE. Paris, October 10. Dr Ramon, of the Pasteur Institute, told the International Diphtheria Congress at Garches that it was only a question of a few years when diphtheria with its attendant diseases will be entirely unknown in France. He hopes during the coming year to secure a perfect vaccine which he believed would give school children immunity and which, he hoped, would justify its compulsory use. Already there have been remarkable results among the troops.—Australian Press Association.
