JOHANNESBURG SHAKEN
BIG BUILDINGS ROCKED. INHABITANTS ALARMED. Cape Town, June 25. Johannesburg experienced a terrific bump at 6.30 this morning, when there was a noise like an explosion, accompanied by vibrations. The big buildings shook alarmingly and the people jumped out of their beds. Windows were cracked and the plaster fell off the walls. The tremors caused falls of rock in the mines.—Australian Press Association.
