UNUSUAL TRAGEDY
SOLDIERS FIRE ON DANCERS. (Rec. 9.5 p.m.) New York, June 13. News from Porto Alegre states that 11 merrymakers, mostly women and children, were killed and 27 wounded by a detachment of soldiers who were refused admission to a ball at Monohay, Brazil. The soldiers fired on the dancers. Those alleged to be responsible have been arrested. —A. and N.Z.
