CONFLICTING INTERESTS. Ottawa, October 26. The Toronto Star’s London correspondent says Mr Mackenzie King was specially critical on the subject of the Pacific cable because the Beam system appears to be a success, and the Cable Board refused to wait when Mr Murphy pressed for a delay until the Beam trials were complete. It is now feared that the competition of the Beam system will render extra business for the new cable problematical.—Sun Cable,
