MARIE OF RUMANIA
ARRIVAL IN CANADA. REPORTS OF RECALL DENIED. Ottawa, October 26. Queen Marie of Rumania entered Canada and saw the Niagara Falls. She is evidently insisting on carrying out every detail of her trip in the face of reports from Rumania that the King has virtually recalled her. Mention of these reports has become exceedingly irritating to the Royal Party, whose members ascribe the origin of the reports to political circles antagonistic to the Queen. She will be 51 on Friday. Some mistake regarding the date has occurred, as the railway officials to-day sent her a wonderful cake, which was delivered before the error in the date was noticed.—Sun Cable. NIAGARA FALLS VISITED. Ottawa, October 26. A Toronto message states that Queen Marie and party arrived this afternoon from Niagara- Falls, hiring entered Canada this morning. They were escorted on a tour of the city by Government officials.—A. & N.Z.
