BEAM WIRELESS
LONG DISTANCE COMMUNICATION. TO BECOME OPERATIVE SHORTLY. Melbourne, June 15. In the House of Representatives Mr Bruce, replying to a question, stated that beam wireless communication between Australia and Britain would not be in operation until October, and with Canada in November or December. He added that the statement that technical defects in the beam system must cause a radical alteration in that system was without foundation. All technical difficulties had been solved.—A. & N.Z.
