AUSTRIA’S UNEMPLOYED
MARCH TO PARLIAMENT. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) VIENNA, April 27. (Received April 29, 5.5 p.m.). Communist leaders are dissatisfied with the compromise between the Socialist opposition and the Government on the subject of doles. The unemployed held a rally and later marched to Parliament, demonstrators carrying red flags with the Soviet star. The Chancellor, Dr. Seipel, could not immediately receive the deputation, whereupon there was a tumult. The crowd attempted to storm the entrances to Parliament and pelted the police with missiles. Several revolver shots were fired, upon which the foot and horse police drew their swords and dispersed the demonstrators, wounding five. Dr. Seipel later told a deputation he could not do more than he was doing.
