Received 20th. 1.10 a.m. Captain John King Davis is a passenger by the Orontes, which arrived today. Interviewed he said that provided the Victorian Government keeps its promise to clock the Aurora he will bring the vessel to Melbourne, if funds arc forthcoming. He will sail to'Adelieland in November, and reach Mawson in December. He collected £3OOO in England out of £IO,OOO required. This amount is needed, firstly for fitting out the Aurora, hut mainly for publishing the investigations.
