Tlie Argentine correspondent of tlie Press states that many of the North American capitalists interested in frozen beef tiro not only trying to dominate tiro industry here, but are aiming to form a gigantic international trust which will embrace some of the principal firms of tl is country. Such is tlie idea current here. A telegram was received from Washington tlie other day announcing this project, and it created considerable excitement amongst those interested in tlie trade in the Argentine. The object appears tn.be not only to dominate the preserved meat markets of tlie United States, but also those of Europe. It is reported from Washington that the North American capitalists exercise a powerful influence on the meat trade of the Argentine Republic by the establishments they already possess here. They are not yet the owners of tlie greater part of the frigorific establishments in this country, but it is an admitted fact that their productions increase more readily than those of the establishments belonging to the Argentine or tlie English. The Yankees have lately acquired land in Parana with tlie object of establishing there a new American frigorifico, What the result will bo of tliis recent movement is waited for with immense interest here.
