rowfed over again as soon thereafter as" possible." This is an utiusual condition, as the probability of deliberate lr.terferonce is seldom contemplated, and has led to inquiries from Dunedin clubs, as they are unwilling to risk both men and boats if the course is likely to be impeded. The committee explain that they have heard so many threats as to tho intention of Certain sailing boat owners on regatta day that they were bound in honour to notify clubs that thoro was danger ahead. They are given to. understand that theso people intend to sail their boats from the end of the jetty to a point opposite tho mill jetty and return during tho time tho committee have arranged to carry out the programme adopted by a public meeting. The Secretary of the Aver.al Regatta Committee writes to say that any boat seen wilfully blocking the course of tho Invercargill regatta while rowing races are in progress will be debarred from entering for events at the Avenal regatta.
