Post Office Grounds

» .I ■ — % To the. Editor. Sir.— Visitors to our town often remark on the beautifully neat and showy appearance of our public, gardens, but I have never yet found one who cared to linger over or search for possible floral beauties in the post-office grounds, which have during the' summer been in a dis■graceful condition, and in such very marked contrast to the municipal reserves alluded to as to indicate very clearly that the standard of orderliness is not so high in some quarters as is desirable. It is a great pity that the appearance of our substantial Govei'nment buildings should bo spoilt by weedy and ill-kept approaches. Perhaps it is not too late to set about improving them.— l am, etc., SPARROW. 30th January.
