[REDTER'S TELEGRAMS.] HOBART, Nor. 28. Hundreds of people yesterday visited the scene of the fire which has been raging in the vicinity of Snug River since tie extraordinary disturbance which occurred there on Thurddaj. The last accounts which have come to hand are most contradictory. The Mercury to-day expresses the belief that the fire is caused by a burning peat moss. MELBOURNE, Nov. 28. Ai rived last evening — P. and 0. Co.'s steamship Rome, with the British mails, dated London, October 12th. SYDNEY, Nov. 20. Bandman Yates, of H.M.S. Bacchante, has been sentenced to two years' imprisonment, and dismissal from the service, for deserting the ship.
