INVERCARGILL HORSE MARKET.
Messrs J. A. MiteLell and Co. report:— We held our weekly sale in the Prince o£ Wales Yards on Saturday, when we had oyer 50 horses forward. The best of these were only good ordinary sorts. The demand for the better class was good, and a fair number changed hands at satisfactory prices. We sold draughts at <£36, =£34 10s, ,£33 10s, £33, and £3O for the best; medium, £2B to £2O; aged, £lB to £8 ; spring-earters, £2l and £l7. Good demand for best sorts. Hacks and light harness horses (a very ordinary class forward), £9, £7, £5 10s, and down to 35s for wrecks.
