INVERCARGILL STOCK MARKET.
At the Junction Yards on Tuesday stock sold as under : Fat Cattle 129 yarded. Bullocks, heavy, £8 15s to £8; good, £7 15s to £6 ss; medium, £6 to £5; cows and heifers, £6 to £5; medimm, £4 10s to £3 10s. Store Cattle—3oo yarded. Three and four year old steers, £5 to £3 ; 2-year-olds, 55s to 35s ; yearlings, 30s to 20s j calves, 15s to 5s ; milch cows, £4 10s to 30s. Sheep—Only 997 penned, the bulk of which were fat, some being shorn, and prices showed a decided drop on last sale’s rates. Wethers (extra heavy), 18s to 17s; good, 16s 6d to 15s 6d ; medium, 15s to 13s ; shorn do, good, 13s Id and lls lOd ; ewes, 15s to 14s ; a pen of nearly 100 store wethers and maiden ewes (shorn) brought 10s 2d ; hoggets in the wool, 12s 9d.
