The J. Gr. Ward Farmers’ Association of New Zealand report haying held their fortnightly sale' at the Invercargill yards on Tuesday, when they yarded 1972 fat and store sheep, and 93 cattle, and sold the bulk of the entry. Fat Cattle —99 entered. The demand was slack, the half of those forward being bought by graziers. There were few prime bullocks in the yards. We sold medium sorts from Lo to L 6, and cows at L 4 10s to L 6 2s 6d. Fat Sheep exception of a few pens of wethers from Bayswater, for which there was good demand, the entry comprised medium to inferior fat wethers and aged ewes. We sold pens at 7s 6d and 7s, and several pens small wethers from •5s 6d to 6s 6d ; fat ewes at 5s Id and 5s 4d. Store Sheep—Our entry consisted principally of breeding ewes, with a few pens of forward store wethers. We sold 206 ewes at 4s lid, 308 at 3s 9d, 296 at 3s 4d, 74 at Bs Id, 162 at 2s 4d ; lambs at 3s 6d to 5s ; wethers, 4s for small to 5s 6d for medium size. Store Cattle —Yearlings, 27s 6d; two yearolds (small), L2 10s; dairy cows (in fairdemand) at L 4 to L 5 ss.
