United Press Association—By Electric Copyright.—Telegraph. Received January sth, 9.40 a.m. THE PLAGUE. Sydney, January 5. Owing to the supply of serum being so small the Government is unable to send any to Noumea.
Noumea, January 4.
There have been two more deathe from the plague, a free European and a convict. The lattea was employed in cleaning infected quarters. The Government are forcing; proprietors to destroy premises in the infected part.
POLITICAL.
Melbourne, January 5.
It is expected that after the Assembly deals with the second Conttagent|a vote of want of confidence will be moved.
THE ST. GEORGE TRAGEDY. Brisbane, January 5.
A boy saw Snow before he died 1 . The latter administered strychnine to the girl himself, bat the former being in great pain asked him to cut her throat, which he did. He then cut his own. He told the boy to take the knife to a selector.
