(By Telegraph.) The Midland Railway. WELLINGTON. June 8. The Manager and other officers of the Midland Railway Companyhaveresigned their positions and taken service under the Government. All the takings are being lodged to the public account. The Government is advised that there is sufficient authority under the Act to proceed with the works, but as the company decline to hand over the plans fresh surveys would have to be made.
