An inquest was held on Saturday on the body of Robert Samson, who was found dead in the northern cemetery. From the evidence it appeared that he was a single man, 29 years old, and that he had been engaged as copying clerk for Mr MacDonald, solicitor. He was of intemperate habits, and had been discharged several times, but always given another chance. Three weeks ago he was finally discharged, and has done no work since. On Friday night he went to the house of his cousin, where he was staying, under the influence of» drink, when his cousin’s wife remonstrated with him and told him to go to bed or go out. He went out, and apparently went to the cemetery, and having prussic acid on him, took some. A verdiet was relumed [that the deceased poisened himself with prussic acid while temporarily insane.
