NEW PLYMOUTH, Oot. 11.
In the murder case this afternoon the witnesses examined were G. Cornell, who was one of the search party, and who stated the circumstances , under which the- body of Maloney was found. Orozier, also one of the search party, who was the first to discover the body, having been led to it by a little dog belonging to Oarnell. Inspector Pardy gave evidence as to the condition of Maloney's house after the murder. L. Butterworth, a boy 12 years old, stated that be searched for Maloney on the evening of the murder but could not find him. J. Murray stated that she aaw Maloney going to the recreation grounds at 11 a.m. on the day of the murder. A native named Poruku stated that he did not give the boots or woistcoat produced to the prisoner. (The prisoner had first seated that he got those articles from the witness.) The court adjourned till Monday.
