FIGHTING IN DUNEDIN.

A COWARDLY CONSTABLE. (Bv Telegraph. ) DUNEDIN, Juke 10. At the City Court to-day ex-Inepector Mallard deposed that there was a fight in the Northern -Recreation Ground on Saturday night; that Constable Willis who was on djity was looking on, and when witness called nTi him to interfere, ho stood by apparently afraid to stop the combatants The constable was an arrant coward and witness who stopped the fight himself toid him so. The bench warmly eulogised Mr Mallard’s conduct and said that Constable Willis’ action would be brought under tho notice of inspector Weldon.
