AUCKLAND ITEMS.
(By Telegraph.) AUCKLAND, Jure 10. The weather has been very boisterous since Saturday and is still wet. No damage has, however, been done by the winds. Abraham Warbrick, father of the wellknown footballers of that name, was buried at Matuta cemetery yesterday. Ho had been in the colony since 1810, and was aged 72. 1 ho Permanent Building Society made a net profit of £3639 for the yeqr, but carrying a larger sum than usual forward, to provide for possible losjes, will only pay a five per cent dividend. Henry Stevenson walked over Hobson St. embankment and received injuries likely to prove fatal, Thomas. Leigh White the missing bankrupt against whom proceedings wore to be tiikon, cannot be found by the detectives, aud it is said he left the colony a week ago. Rose Earth, who attempted suicide by taking rough-on-rals, has been dismissed on her own securities to keep the peace for 12 monies.
