SUPREME COURT.
(By Telegraph.)
NEW PLYMOUTH, April 26,
At the Supreme Court Albert Edward Nelson was charged with perjury. The case arose out of a lease given by Petrie to MeLaughlan, when Petrie and his mother swore the deed was not the one Petrie signed. Mr Holmes, Clerk of the Court, in examination, said he had examined Petrie’s signature under a magnifying glass and saw that pencil marks had been made. His Honor said he had noticed it too.
