[Bv Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [Reuter’s Agency.] (Received June 26,1881,1.25 a.m.] London, June 26, The cricket match, the Australians v. the Gentlemen of England,' commended at the Oval to-day. The following are the names of the Home team :—Messrs G. T, Studd, Christopherson, E. J. Diver, W. G. Grace, A. P. Lucas, W. W. Read, W. E. Roller, A. G. Steel, Wilman, A. W, Ridley, and Lord Harris. The greatest interest was taken in the match, and the weather being splendid, the attendance of spectators was enormous. The visitors went in first, and scored 229 the highest scores being: — McDonnell, bowled ... 15 Murdoch, caught 21 Scott, bowled 16 Blackham, Ibw 69 Midwinter, not out ... 60 Boyle, caught and bowled 21 Midwinter batted splendidly,and never gave a chance.
The Home team then went in at the close of the day’s play, and bad lost two wickets for 91 runs. Grace, not out ... ... 46 Studd, bowled 10 Lucas, bowled 18 Eead, not out 11
