ASCOT GOLD CUP.

United Press • Association By Electric Telegraph—Copyright

LONDON, June 17

The race for the Ascot Gold Cup was most exciting. From the entrance to the straight Buchan (Frank Bullock) und Tangiers (Hulme) fought a strenuous battle. Buchan swerved, and Tangiers was partly pulled up to come on the outside. Buchan won by a neck. An objection on account of crossing was upheld. It was the greatest sensation since 19 07, when Elder, after dead heating with White Knight, was disqualified for bumping. In the same year the Gold Cup was stolen.
