BULLS NOTES.

From Our Own Correspondent On roturnicg from the football match at Rata on Wednesday one of the players, a young man named Armstrong, attempted to leave the car while in motion. His coat caught in the car, resulting in him begin thrown heavily on the road. He was rather badly knocked aboufe and was taken to the doctor in an unconscious condition. He soon recovered, however, and at time of writing was progressing favourably. It seems that motor accidents have little effect on some motorists, lit has come before our notice on three or four occasions of late that motor cyclists were travelling through the town at a good rate with both hands .off the handles. One man in particular put on a very tine "gallery" stunt a few days ago. Travelling at about 25 miles per hour on an Indian .t!3 lot go the handles at the Town Hall, and began arranging his hat, coat and goggles. Still without the handles he passed a trap and took the bend at the Olifton Hall and dis appeared in a cloud of dust. The mate of the s. s. Aorere, Mr Yarnmoath, who had been left on the KangitiKei Beach to stand by the ship, passed through Bulls on his way to Wanganui yesterday, having decided that owing to the heavy westerly gale that is still blowing with great force, it was useless to stand by any longer. Should the gale continue it seems certain that the vessel is doomed to destruction, having already started to break up.
