ANNUAL TOURNAMENT. Per Press Association. * Hastings, March 15 The annual tournament of the N.Z. Polo Association was held today in fine weather in the presence of a good ■ number of spectators. Two matches were played for the SaviH Oup—Hawke’s Bay B v. Hawke’s Bay O ; an d Pareora v. Poverty Bay B- The former match was not brilliant. It resulted in an easy wih for Hawke’s Bay B by ten goals to 2. The other match was most exciting throughout, and clever play was witnessed, Poverty Bay played well at times, but the splendid defence of Pareora frustrated certain scores on their part. The game ended: Pareora 6, Poverty Bay 4. Orhell and V. A. Alswortby played brilliantly 7 for Pareora, while Evans and Machell were the best lor Poverty Bay.
