A United Press 'message from Weimar says: Herr Haase, addressing the National Assembly, declared that the Workmen’s and Soldiers’ Councils would continue in existence until a Coalition Government demonstrated its intention to Socialise the new German Repnblic. Herr Haase threatened new Spartaciet outbreaks unless the Government carried out socialization. AUSTRIA’S DESIRE. UNION WITH DANUBE FEDERATION. London, February 18. . Otto Bauer, Austrian Foreign Minister, interviewed . at Vienna, said Austria desired union with the Danube Federation, but this was impossible now because other members ofitfae old empire inlcadiug the Czecho-Slovaka and Jugo-Slavs did not wish union. Therefore it had now become necessary for Austria to join Germany.
