Mr Chruchiil, speaking at London, said ; We are recruiting a new army for two and three years’ service at the rate of over a thousand daily. It was essential in order to disarm Germany and f &ecure reparation, which we are determined to get, and to maintain a strong, well disciplined army cn the Rhine. There was no intention of sending a large British force to Russia. If Russia is to be saved it must be by her own exertion.
