WEDDING.
ROSE—HINKLE Y. A very pretty but quiet wedding was celebrated at- the residence of the bndo’s parents on Wednesday, 7th August, the contracting parties being Keitha Yivien, seventh daughter of Mr and Mrs O. H. Hinkley,7of Pemberton, and Leonrrd Isitt.* fifth son of Mr and Mrs A, Rose, of Maugarimu. The bride; who was attired in biscuit-coloured silk, with the usual orange blossom and veil, looked charming, was attended by her sister Nola, prettily dressed in flowered voile. Mr William Carr was best man. The bridegroom, who is expecting shortly to go into camp, is the third sou of Mr A Rose to volunteer for active service. One,',' son, Owen, having made the supreme sacrifice, and Gilbert, also a son-in-law of Mr Hiukley, being at the present time fighting for his country “Somewhere in Egypt.” |The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Ricnards, and£the*wedding'presents were both numerous and costly, including several cheques, showing the popularity and esteem in whiab the young couple were held. Mr aud Mrs Rose left amid showers of confetti Jfor the Wanganui district, where the honeymoon is to be spent.
