SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
Press Association. Wanganui, August 10. A serious accident occurred at Aim Ahu up river yesterday. A young man, Randall a returned soldier, was using a rifle as a walking stick, when it discharged, the bullet entering below bis jaw, lodging in the back of his eye. The accident occurred on rough country, and it took ten hours to get the wounded man to the riverside launch and bring him to the town hospital. The sufferer is in a very low condition.
