PRAISE FOR COURAGEOUS BOYS. SPLENDID RESULTS BY THEIR AID. A DAY OF GLORIOUS DESTRUCTION Received Feb. 23, 9 a.ru. London, Feb. 22. In the House of commons, Major Baird, in introducing the Air Board’s estimates praised the courageous boyish aviators who were constantly exposed to attacks from enemy aircraft and anti-aircraft guns.' He paid a special tribute to Oversea aviators for their loyal and brave services on ail fronts. In one day, owing to aerial observation British artillery silenced 127 enemy batteries, destroyed twenty-eight gunpits, damauod O' and also exploded sixty ammunition dumps. Balloon observations on ! the same day;rcsnlted in silencing thirty-four batteries. The work of our lighting squadrons was glorious and invaluable. During September they destroyed 13!) enemy michiuos, and shot dowul 22. In the same mouth 15,837 photographs of enemy positions were taken and 7,880 bombs dropped.
