The Foreign Minister, interviewed regarding Argentine’s attitude, stated that the Government would not hesitate to sever relations with Germany, if any act was committed interfering with the principles of Internal Law. It now appears that Luxburg has not sailed, but has temporarily withdrawn to an unnamed place in the interior, as he was unable to embark with a safe conduct and his presence would be dangerous and exciting to the. population. A neighbouring Government objected to his crossing its frontier. There is no prospect of a settlement of the railway strike.
AN ITALIAN REPORT,
AUSTRIAN FUTILE ATTACKS,

An Italian official message says that after an intense bombardment, the enemy renewed his attacks on Costa Bella massif. Our artillery compelled him to withdraw. There have been local engagements at Bainsizza.

The “Idea Hazionale’s” Berne correspondent reports: A great Austrian War Council is being held on the Isonzo front, the Archduke Conrad and the army commanders participating The Austrian losses in yesterday’s fighting included ten machine guns.
The Italian aerial supreraac3 r is causing much anxiety. The Austrian coast defences are helpless against Italian attacks.
PAN-GERMAN AMBITIONS.
A FUTILE RESOLUTION.
AMSTERDAM, Oct. 9.
The Pan-German Congress carried a resolution that Gtrmany’s frontiers a ust be vastly extended east and west. It declared the military situation excellent, and the naval situation "would soon force England to sign a German peace.
