JTow that the ballot on the proposed amalgamation of the Australian Workers 1 Union, the largest organisation of labour in the Commonwealth with a number of other country unions has been carried with a Tery substantial majority a proposal is afoot to widen the scope to include not only any person engaged in pastoral work but those in the sugar-growing, meat trade, road mending, and a number of others, including all kinds of general labour.
