WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
TAPAPA The November meeting of, the Tapapa Women’s Institute was held in the Tapapa school recently. Mrs. R- Cochrane,' assisted: by Mrs. A. E. Fuller, presided over an average attendance of members. The motto was "United we stand, divided: we fall,” and the Toll call, “Hints oil making Christmas novelties.” (Final arrangements were made for the floral court to be held at the rose show in Putaruru. ; •' A collection was taken up for international day. " ' It was decided l to again exchange gifts at the next meeting. The results of competitions were': Large vase of flowers: Mesdames A. E. Fuller 1, P. Anderson and 1 R. Cochrane (equal) 2. Three afternoon tea savouries: Mrs. R. Rutledge 1 and: 2. Best bloom: Mrs. A. E. Fuller. Travelling sixpence : Mrs. M. Peffers.
