Very Hot Weather
Sydney, Jan. 24. The long spell of hot, dry weather is being seriously felt throughout the State. Rain is badly needed. There are bush fires in many of the districts. A fire in the Blue Mountains destroyed a number of beauty spots. Many high temperatures have been registered in the country, the highest being at Brewarrina, where the thermometer reached 118 degrees.
