Christchurch, Last Night. Store sheep were yarded in large numbers at the sale to-day, lambs forming the largest proportion. There was a complete clearance at advanced rates. There was keen demand for ewes, and lambs sold at advanced rates. Forward rape lambs made 11s 9d to 12s 3d, extra 12s to 12s 9d, and others 9s to 10s 3d, culls 3s to 6s 6d, 4 and 6 tooth wethers 14s to 15a 6d, small halfbreds 11s to 18s, 4 tooth wethers 13s to 14s 6d, 2 tooth 10s to IBs, 4 tooth ewes 18s to 18s, 2 tooths 15b to 19s, inferior 12s to 18s, 6 tooth 16s to 19s 6d, 4,6, and 8 tooths 15s to 17s, 2,4 i 6, and 8 tooths 18s to 16s, sound mouth to 15s; merino ewes 6s to 8b 3d, ewes with lambs 8s 8d to 11s 5d ; lambs purchased for freezing 18s to 16s lOd, a few up to 17s 9d, Butchers’ and graziers’ lots made 12s to 16s. The yarding of fat sheep was larger • than usual. The range of prices was —Prime wethers 17s to 20s 6d, others 14s to 17s, prime ewes 15s to 17s lOd, others 9s to 14s 6d, merino wethers 13s to 14s sd, merino ewes 7s to 9s 9d, Beef prices showed a further easing off. Steers made £8 17a to £l2 17s, heifers £6 to £8 2s, and cows £5 7s to £Blos. A large entry of store cattle sold as followsYearlings 85s, 15 to 18 months 46s to £8 7s, 2-year steers £4 9s to £4 12s, 2-year heifers £S 7s to £8 14s, 3-year steers £6 6s to £6 10s, 3 year heifers £4.15s to £4 16s, mixed lines of steers and heifers £4 17s, dry cows 85s to £5 12s; dairy cows brought £8 10s to £lO. A small offering of fat pigs, but a keen demand. Choppers made 3Qs to £4 19's, large baconers 72s to £4 IBs, arifl. lighter. 35a to 755, larger porkers 46s to 51s, and lighter 35s to 48s, large stores 4Qs to 47a, medium 80s to 37 s > apwller 23a to 27s 6d.
