Reform Rally

MR MASBEY ENTHUSIASTICALLY RECEIVED. SOUND ADVICE. Auckland, Last Night. Mr Massey had a most enthusiastic ovation at the Reform Party’s rally last night. There was a great gathering. Dr Newman, of Wellington, said he had sojourned twenty years in the wilderness, and now he could see that MoSes was going to lead them into the Promised Land; but he urged the supporters to organise and prepare tor any event. Many other Members spoke and paid tribute to tbe pluck and perseverance displayed for so many years by their leader. No man could have done better. Mr Massey, in thanking them all, said there was no doubt the people of New Zealand were going to have a change in answer to their demand, but they must not go to sleep, as if they took over great responsibilties by occupying the Treasury benches or remained in opposition their first thought must be for the welfare of the country to which they belonged. (Applause). *
