Mrs Hazard, who is known as the “ starvation doctor,” is being tried at Seattle, on a charge of causing the death of a wealthy English girl named Claire Williamson. The victim’s sister testified to the severity of the treatment at accused’s sanatorium, she herself being reduced .almost to a skeleton. Her sister died under the treatment. A doctor who was called in had suspicions of foul play, and caused Hazard’s arrest. John Herbert, deceased’s uncle, declared that he believed the bones be saw in a coffin iwere not those of his niece. He made no complaint because.he did not know the girl was actually dead.
