Wagner, of Pukenui, reports finding twenty-five lifebelts to>diy on the west coast beach, about twenty miles south of Cape Maria Van Dieman. Addington Stock Sale. Christchurch, Last Night. At the Addington stock market today the entries of stock were generally smaller,' Store Sheep.—The entry was small, the majority being hoggets, and there were a few pens of ewes and lambs. There was better inquiry for all classes, and hoggets, which were mostly medium sorts, sold at an advance of about 6d per head. One lot of threequarterbred ewe hoggets made 13s, halfbred hoggets, small and mixed sexes, 9s 2d to 9s 6d, ewes and lambs 6s lid, all counted. There were a few new season’s fat lambs, and they sold at 15s 6d to 18s. Fat sheep included some good lines of wethers. The market opened in advance on last week’s rates, but when butchers had filled their requirements prices fell below those of last week. Prime wethers made 16s to 19s 7d, others 13s 6d to 15s 6d, prime ewes Ms to 16s 3d, others 10s “to 13s 6d, merino wethers 13s, hoggtts 9s 6d to 13s 6d.
