WHAT PADDY WOULD TAKE ON THE DOME OF ST. PAUL'S.
An English, a Scotch, and an Irish gentleman, dining together, made a wager, each backing a certain man of their own nationality to give the best and wittiest answer to a certain question. Tho Englishman boing asked what he'd tako to spend the night' naked on the dome of St. Paul's, he answered that he'd take so much money bread, ale, cheese, and b'acco. Tho Scotchman said he'd take more money, whisky, Bannocks, and tobacco. But Paddy's answer was that he'd tako his "death of could."
