TOLOGA BAY RACES. A Public meeting was held at the Tologa Bay Hotel on Saturday evening last, Mr W. F. Hale in the chair, when it was resolved to hold the annual Tologa Bay race meeting on the Ist of January, on the town course. On the motion of Mr S. R. Stewart Messrs McGuire, Swainson and Hale were elected stewards for the race meeting. It was further resolved that not more than two flat races be open to all comers, the remaining events upon the programme to be restricted to district ho. ses, a clear definition of which will be set forth, but should one of the events of the programme be a hurdle race, the same to be open to all coiners. It was decided to run the races under the code of rules compiled

by the P.B. Turf Club, but which are not now in use.

The whole of the arrangements in detail were left to the stewards and officers elected.

A vote of thanks to the chairman terminated the business.
