LABOURERS' AWARD
FURTHER DISCUSSION Further consideration of proposals for a new award for the Poverty Bay General Labourers' Union was sought in a letter from the union read at last night's meeting of the Borough Council, the letter stating that-the council's proposals'were not' acceptable' to the union,-which asked for a meeting between representatives of the council and-the union. The Mayor, Mr.'D. W. Coleman, M.P., and Crs. J.i H.. Hall and >F. Tolerton, were deputed to discuss the matter with the union's representatives, those appointed to report back to the council;
