BITUMEN FOOTPATHS
ORDER OF CONSTRUCTION The order of construction Of bitumen footpaths in the borough was given at the Gisborne Borough Council's meeting last night by .the borough engineer, Mr. E. R. Thomas, who- reported having completed 70 chains Of hot-mix bitumen slab • 'footpath in Ormond road above' Rua ; street and ;a: section in Hospital road between Ormond road and' Perry isltreet. "Similar work ,is in-hand in Russell street," Mr. Thomas' Stated, "and unless unforeseen circumstances; necessitate an alteration, footpath work -wiLl be continued, in 'the following sitreets in the "order stated: Derby street, Hirini street, Rutene road, Cobden street, Bulwer road,-' Muir street, deLautour road, and "She'ehan street."
