ALL-ROUND SPORTSMEN
L. Hassatt and H. Oakley, both members of the Victorian Sheffield Shield cricket eleven, are rivals for the position of (best all-rounder in Australian sport. Oakley is a firstclass cricketer, a former \ champion amateur footballer, a first pennant tennis player, and a Victorian champion table tennis player. Hassett has risen higher on .the cricket ladder — he is a test player. He is one of the finest footballers in the amateur game, and has twice won the honour of-best and fairest player. As a golfer it is apparent that only his interest in the two sports named has prevented his advance. Despite his lack of opportunities, he has a handicap of four. In addition, he is a better than average tennis player.
