.*> WANGANUI WOOL SALE BETTER PRICE A POUND Of 24,719 bales of wool offered at the second Wanganui wool sale of the season, 24,357 were sold. The sale was prompt. Following are the official realisation figures, supplied by the Wanganui Woolbrokers' Association: —The proceeds of the sale amounted to £332,656 9s, an average of £l3 13s Id a bale, and 9.036 d a lb. The proceeds Of the first sale, held in January, were £362,100 17s 2d. Then 26,387 hales were sold at an average of £l3 14s 5d a bale, and 8.899 d a lb. Though the price a hale at the January sale was less than at the February fixture, the figures show that the January price a lb. was slightly higher than that at the February fixture. The reason is that the bales at the January sale averaged 3701 b. in weight, and at the February sale 3C3lb. LONDON MARKETS The Bank of New Zealand has received the following cable message from London as at the close of business this week: —"Wethers. —The market is dull. Ewes.—Trade is slow. Lambs. —There is a fair demand. The market is weaker for heavy-weights; light-weights remain steady.
