SUCCESS AT INSTITUTE
BLIND BOY’S PROGRESS TOLAGA BAY RESIDENT (Special -to the Herald.) TOLAGA BAY, this day. Tolaga Bay residents have taken a keen interest in the progress of Ronald Gazely, the son of a fellowtownsman who recently was admitted to the Institute for the Blind in Auckland. Ronald lately has spent a holiday with his relatives in Tolaga Bay, and returned to Auckland by the Kopara on her last trip. During the past year the lad gained ' a trophy for the best all-round work in school at the institute, and also made good progress in his ambition to play a leading part in the institute's brass 'band. As an acknowledgement of his keenness, and his pre-eminent progress with the instrument, he received the award of a travelling rug from the authorities. Many children blessed with the gift of sight, and of similar age, cannot match the proficiency Ronald; Gazely shows in his school-work, j His typewritten letters to relatives, in the district compare favourably with the work of many adult typists..
