COLLAPSE IN MOTOR CAR
While driving his motor car from Taumarunui to his home at Owhango Mr. Percy Smith, aged 53, collapsed and died. I-lis wife was in the car at the time. He was one of the early Owhango settlers and, apart Iron) being a successful farmer, was a keen sportsman and wood chopper, and won many important chopping events in the district.
